Back when I started photography in 2008, the industry wasn't full of talented vendors whipping up delicate tiebacks and intricately knitted bonnets. Through many Etsy purchases, I was able to find accessories that emphasized the sweet newborn features, instead of overshadowing them!
It can get overwhelming to try to match one vendor's wrap with another vendor's bonnet--so I thought of the idea of creating a shop where photographers could come in and create their own sets, using multiple different brands!
The Rachel Vanoven Shop first started as a brick-and-mortar boutique located in the heart of Indiana that shared space with my studio...literally on the other wall! The physical shop quickly grew into its own boutique building and now straight to your front door through the online shop!
Here, you'll not only find newborn photography props but posing essentials, client gifts, and momma-minded products for you and your little ones! I hope you love this shop as much as I do and find exactly what you're looking for!

Rachel Vanoven
Owner, International photographer, educator and speaker
I'm Rachel! In 2007, I was a stay at home mom who had a knack for using my Konica Minolta camera to take photos of my two (now 3) young children. That hobby slowly bloomed into a small photography business and I took up my first ever client via Craigslist in the spring of 2008. Ten years later, my passion to help other photographers turn hobbies into businesses and businesses into successful careers has been the driving force in creating the industry’s top source of online education.
I live in the good old heart of the Indianapolis with my husband, Nick and our little trio of children, Brynn, Nicholas and Josie. I'm always cold, nearly always barefoot, passionate about newborn safety, oversized t-shirts and helping others. I hate cancer, working out and cucumbers (but pickles are cool).
Ellen Forister
Shop Manager
Hey there! I'm Ellen, and I joined The Rachel Vanoven Shop team in 2021 to help manage inventory, orders, and customer service. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management and am self-employed. Through my agency, I serve clients all over the US and assisting them with business and project management along with digital marketing best practices. When I was approached about being part of the team, it sounded like a fun 'something different' that would let me flex my knack for organization and creating systematic processes to help ensure the success of the shop and the happiness of our customers.
I live in Columbus, Indiana with my husband, Taylor, my son, Kaiden, my daughter, Reina, and our two dogs. When I'm not packing orders, I enjoy listening to true crime podcasts, and building furniture, or working on DIY home projects with my family.
